I completely disagree. Keeping track of these multiple ball positions in the stance is a mental nightmare. The ball position should be in line with your left heel for all? clubs. Only the width of the stance should be modified based on the loft and/or lenghth of the club. Been playing this game since I was six. You should listen to Jack.

I have a follow up to my previous remark. In the video, the instructor points out the ball position for the 7-8 Irons and up. What he failed to mention for the short-game is the ball position? for the 9-irons and lower which was the point of view that I've learned the short-game. By adding 4 or 5 balls to the right of the existing cluster, that will yield the ball position all the way to the lob wedge...That was how I was taught the short game to include the magic flop shot...

This topic confuses me the most. This video makes enough sense, and for the most part I already did everything he was talking about. The part that really confuses me is when I watch videos and everyone says something different about where the ball should be for executing a specific shot. For example, when talking about a PW, I've heard ppl say you should put it in the front of? your stance, I've heard ppl say middle, and I've heard ppl say back.... Which one is it! Lol /rant

Hey I'm 19 years old and just starting to try golf this year. I can hit with a? driver but I usually hit straight up. I have a hard time choosing how to not hit it up as high as I am. @remmy100 I'm a self taught golfer who had a couple lessons when I was 17. Played for about 1 year very rarely, perhaps once a month. hey mister redbull try a stiffer shafted driver -i did exactly the same when i bought a club with too whippy a shaft- the club head cant catch up with your swing and you are lifting before the? club hits the ball -worked for me -good luck

@imwrittingmyname Is it a slice or an undesirable fade? I have a natural? fade in my swing. If your shooting a scratch score it's most likely an open club face issue with an undesirable fade. This fades the ball not so much SLICE. A slice will move right almost immediately after Impact. I would not recommend standing closer to the ball. Try working on the range. If the tournament comes before you can work things out then avoid hitting the driver instead and go with the 3 wood.

Good tip, but im shocked at the swing. I have been taught and have seen most pro's and never seen them bend there left elbow on the backswing. I dont know? your ball flight because the video only showed the strike. But i would be shocked if you told me that ball flew straight with a bent elbow.

If you look at today's top players the club shaft either points at the ball or in the case of Tiger Woods and Adam Scott for example the club shaft points 'outside' the ball which is exaclty what this guy is saying on this video.

I like the 'train track' idea Charlie, to get you hitting down on the ball slightly. This is something I need to do, as most of my longer irons just keep? on running once they hit the ground, which means I have to plan for that inmy approach shots. This makes the game evben harder on certain holes!

that's a hard shot to do. To make that golf ball pop straight up like that requires a high degree of skill plus a lot of concentration. The ball must be struck very? precisely with just the right amount of downward force to compress the ball against the ground without imparting any spin on the ball. I tried to do this trick shot and hurt myself ( I won't mention where) so do be cautious please.

Theres a drill to fix steep fat shots, slicing and lack of turn. First you set up normal, then turn your feet pointed towards the target and your belt buckle pointed at the target. But have your shoulders in normal postion set up to the ball. Itll be very hard to make a full back swing unless your a flexible, strong person. But this drill eliminates slices, makes you hit further, and gets rid of swaying.? If you dont understand just send me a message. Its the best drill ive ever done.

A shorter backswing with a emphasized follow through makes a consistently clean strike and actually helps improve feel for speed and distance. Hey has anyone noticed the amount of people who are basically? oxygen thieves that post below good people trying to share info with the world, It never ceases to amaze me the number of losers who add what they erroneously think are smart comments, none of these people ( and I use the term loosely) will never contribute one useful thing to anything,
