The U.S. is not as small as Canada or some socialist country, is why we cannot pay full-covered health care for everybody in taxes. Taxes slowly kill you financially, for an unknown cause, while private health care simply just eats at you when fully awake. Charities could not ensure the money required to? do this only some form of collective responsibility by ALL will do it. Their are many Nations with UHC and all those UHC's are different some highly centralised like the Brit NHS some use private companies but all cost less and supply more than the present US system.

Do we let the fat and lazy be a burden on a government run health care system? In our society of excess, that would be an unsustainable solution. As a company, shouldn't you be aggressively expanding into developing countries? Talk about a market with growth potential! At the least anti-malarial drugs are needed now. Imagine these markets eventually having millions of middle-income citizens. They will want/need the same pharmaceuticals as advanced nations have enjoyed. Good info-graphic presentation. Shows how preventative care? needs to be emphasized and how senior care will create massive opportunities for health professionals.

@MindofaJedi having done the vegan thing on several attempts, it's not the healthiest diet. Animal protein is a fine protein/nutrient? source for omnivores. Good diet=Mostly veg's incl small amounts anim. protein. Total avoidance of animal protein would not drastically cut disease. It is the consumption of refined edibles preserved for a long shelf life, not wellness, that contributes to easily preventable diseases/conditions such as endocrine/metabolic issues, autoimmune issues, and cancers.

I would never live in the? United States of America for various reasons but I suppose the issue of Healthcare in that country is the most significant one. I consider myself very fortunate to be a British citizen living in the UK, which automatically makes me a citizen of the European Union. Excellent Healthcare facilities in both the UK and the EU is universal and funded by taxation making it free at the point of issue. I have seen from personal experience that there is a way to map the process of care and measure the costs of such care by using tools like iThink computer modeling. ? Systems thinking and computer modeling of actual service delivery is feasible and will revolutionize care. But it will require more courageous leaders in the field to do it.

I? am in favor of it if they institute a national health tax where every citizens is required to report to a national health care center once a year for an evaluation, for every 5 pounds they are overweight they pay an extra 2% to 3% in taxes until the following year, if they have kids that are overweight then parents or guardians must pay an extra 5% in taxes for every 5 pounds the kid(s) are overweight. Also make a mandatory 30% to 50% tax on all healthy foods, fast food, ice cream, candy,etc..
