I'm guessing the "Straighten" button was added in either CS4 or 5. I'm using CS3 and although I have the? ruler tool, there is no "Straighten" button that I can see. I will have to contiue to crop. It's a pain because then you lose part of the image when you have to crop.

seems pretty? basic. i guess it's good if you've used lightroom, but not normally use video editing software. but it has VERY limited options (if this is all). i'd recommend getting any edition of Sony Vegas if yo'r starting on some serious video creation. Still, this is way better then Windows Movie Maker.

I find working with the animation timeline much easier (lower right button in the animation panel). All you have to do is? create key-frames. You can manipulate layer styles, as well as opacity and position separately - it's quite similar to After Effects. Your method does work well too, though!

@mrmcweird go to photoshop...make two text images put drop? shadow on one..then put it on the other...try to adjust the drop shadow angle on the second text and you'll see the first one change as well (very frustrating) ..now turn off global lighting and then you will see the difference. Hope this helps...this applies to other layer styles too :)

Pretty cool, but if the glow is red and green and the inner gloww is all white, it doesn't make sense to my eyes. The outside glow of the lights should match the inner? glow of the lights, right? Really good vid, and great idea. Thanks and I'll work on next year's Christmas cards and think about how I can fix this issue for my OCD nature. Maybe I'll be posting my own tuts by then!

Sir, I'm using quite a larger brush, about 105px (my imageres is probably quite a bit higher), and using your settings for the scattering and color dynamics I'm getting all sorts? of weird lines and black parts in my brush strokes. I? thought off something while trying this, and it worked pretty well.. Try making separate layers of the 4 corner pieces you have after offsetting it. Select those 4 layers, go to Edit -> Auto Blend Layer and let it run. It worked pretty well for me..

@lvldsnr oh your message was cut off when i read it the first time, i was taking about the offset.? but in your gaming problem, are you talking about a little white line because that can be caused by a little bit of transparency at the edges. seams can also be caused by the edges where faces meet. at that point you might need to make a texture for each face depending on the program or you might need to warp the whole picture until it lines up if it uses the whole picture on one image.
