So what this guy is saying, especially when he says we need to replace ideology with science, is that capitalism is wrong. "What a lot of us learned in economics". Again, he's referring to capitalism. "Left wing and socialist" = direct opposite of our current system = capitalism. He's careful to not make this sound like criticism against capitalism, because then he would be dismissed.

For a short interview--I think they're good questions. Tony got to leave us with a few good nuggets. This is not going to be powerful--like a weekend seminar. He does have a tumor in his brain--impinging on his pituitary gland (HGH). So don't expect to have the? same energy he has. "And if you help others it changes you, too." The interviewer tried multiple times to put ideas in Tony's mouth. At the same time, I feel like Tony's answers may have been a bit vague - but still of tremendous value.. I would have liked to see a longer? interview. He deserved more time and the world needs to hear what he has to say :)

GC fan, but to say that MC5, The Stooges and The New? York Dolls are not punk, shows an extreme lack of education on the history of punk rock. I should put it out there that bands like GC, Blink 182 and Green Day have lead myself and other fans to bands like The Exploited, Bad Brains and UK Subs. There is room for all, people just need to open their minds.

The Stooges were one of the first to break in the term "punk" and the sound and? look of it at that time, especially when you have someone like Iggy Pop as front man. You can watch any bio pic of the "scene" and that music and see that MC5 and the Dolls were players as well. People consider GC "pop punk" but lets look at that for a second, punk and pop?
